Offered here (and on ebay), is this wonderful oil painting by James Bonner titled, "I remember Old Santos." The painting is oil on canvas board which measures 18 x 14 inches, is signed "J. Bonner" at the bottom left corner and signed with initials on the back of the board along with the title and date of March, 1993. The painting measures 18 x 14 inches and is set into a wooden frame measuring about 20 x 18 inches.

CONDITION: The painting is about pristine, with no in-paint, repairs or damage of any kind. The frame has very minor signs of age.

Bonner, a contemporary American realist painter, was born in Arkansas in 1959. He received his BA at the University of Arkansas while studying under Al Allen in the 1970s, yet considers himself to be a self taught artist. In the 1990s James Bonner began visiting Maine after a great deal of time studying the works of other artists, especially Andrew and Jami Wyeth whose works influenced him greatly.

James Bonner was seriously injured while rock climbing in 2003, and after about 10 long years and much rehabilitation, he began his comeback and continues to create art, primarily in watercolors.He is now residing permanently in Maine. .
